Woman, Captain, Rebel Book Event

We're so excited to welcome Margaret Willson to our store on March 28th at 6:00pm.

Willson will share stories about her latest book, Woman, Captain, Rebel, a historical non-fiction narrative that tells the adventures of Iceland’s most famous female sea captain, Thuridur. In the early 1800s, this daring captain fought for equal rights AND solved one of Iceland’s most notorious robberies. Willson will share all of the exciting details that went into writing this great tale. Willson is an anthropologist living in Seattle and is an Affiliate Associate Professor for the Departments of Anthropology and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Washington and a Senior Associate Scientist for the Stefansson Arctic Institute in Akureyri, Iceland.
