#1 - We always love seeing local authors show up on our store bestsellers list! Not only is this a store bestseller, but a huge bestselling novel nationwide! If you're at all into historical fiction you will absolutely love The Nightingale. Two sisters find themselves in Nazi occupied France during World War II, and each have to fight back in their own way. Amazing story that you won't be able to put down.
#2 - Suzanne Selfors' Imaginary Veterinary series is hands down one of our bestselling children's series. Book one of this series The Sasquatch Escape is number two on our 2015 store bestsellers! This series is so much fun for both boys angd girls and would be a great one to read aloud together as well. Another local author gracing our store bestseller list!
#4 - Go Set a Watchman is the follow up to To Kill a Mockingbird and was a huge seller for us this year. The eagerly anitcipated sequel was met with mixed reviews by the public but everyone who read it here at LBB loved it.
#5 - We were so lucky to sell Salish Sea at a lovely event with Joe Gaydos at Kiana Lodge last year. This book perfectly encapuslates the beauty that is our own back yard. The pictures are breath taking, you will definitely want to sneak a peak at this wonderful book!
#6 - One of our absolute favorite books here at the store. Perfect gift for so many occassions! Everyone remembers Little Golden Books from their childhood, and this fabulous book has them all!
#7 - Boys in the Boat has captured the hearts of so many across the Pacific Northwest, and we're happy to see it grace our store best seller list for the second year in a row. If you have yet to pick up this fascinating reat about the UW Men's Crew team that traveled to and competed in the Berlin Olympics during Hitler's rise, you must pick it up soon!
Difficult to Find
#8 - Tapper Twins Go To War is one of our favorite books to recommend to the kiddos. Perfect for both boys and girls, Tapper Twins, chronicles an epic battle between Reese and Claudia...twins living in New York. Such a fun book written with illustrations, photographs, text and text messages that will keep even the most reluctant reader interested.
#9 - Everyone in the store, across all ages and genre preferences LOVES this series. Name of the Wind is the first book in the Kingkiller Chronicles and tells an entrancing story of magic set in a middle-age time period. We like to pitch it to customers as Harry Potter for grown ups. You'll get sucked into this incredibly detailed magical world, and you'll be eagerly awaiting book three with the rest of us.
