LOVED this book that is coming out in May! Suzanne and Madison had dinner with this author at the beginning of the month and heard some great stories about his writing process. The premise is similar to Stephanie Meyer's "The Host" but in this case, the alien is placed/attached to a human brain while the mother is pregnant and has a totally normal childhood until one chosen day when the alien part of the brain wakes up and takes control. The alien assault comes in waves and since all of the aliens have human bodies, no one trusts any one else. After losing her family, Cassie is on her own trying to keep the promise she made to her brother Sammy and she will do anything to keep it. She's made it through 4 waves of the alien invasion, but if they are successful with the 5th, it will mean the end of the human race. Very exciting, pretty violent, but overall great read.
